I-66 Entertainment Presents: Jenelle Coleman “Not My Own” in stores 08.17.10

Jenelle Coleman makes it undoubtedly clear that she is not who she used to be. Though she allowed her family matters and her personal insecurities to define who she was, this woman of God is truly on an unwavering path of righteousness.

We were first introduced to Jenelle’s vocal abilities ten years ago when she sang with Linda Washington & the Tri-Area Community Choir (TACC). But even then her voice was undeniably a power-house to reckon with. That very voice led her to launch a solo career which produced her debut CD, aptly entitled, Jenelle. Which touted the anointed hearts-cry; “My Trials (keep me on my knees).” After a four year hiatus, Jenelle returns with her new single, “Not My Own,” a maxi-single which features, on one version, Christian Hip Hop artist Mahogany Jones. The maxi-single is available on iTunes August 17th, 2010.

On this song, Jenelle wants to convey this one message; that because of what Jesus paid on the cross, we were bought with a price – we are not our own. In spite of her past insecurities and her wrestles with self-doubt, she now truly knows who she belongs to. On “Not My Own,” Jenelle Coleman directly and indirectly addresses her personal issues, but through God’s love and the cleansing blood of Christ, she has truly come out the victor!
