With a collaboration album that has such heart-felt motives and intentions it is very hard to critically review it when all of its proceeds go to help save Darfur (I mean really whats there to lose for the artists; nothing). When given a first look at the artists there a some that are note-worthy such as Propaganda and Tre9 along with other surprising new artists on the rise. However, the album overall fails to succeed in either content nor quality.

After listening to this album thoroughly one might think it would leave you informed, knowledgeable and sympathetic to the country of Darfur but sadly it falls very short. Overall the album is weak in content (sometimes leaving you to question its relativity) and it can be seen that the production is very amateur like. In the song, “SaveDarfurNow” by Just para-Dox the lyrics are so off beat that you can hardly bear to listen to it thoroughly, let alone enjoy it.

While the majority of the songs fall short in terms of quality, production and lyrical content there are few that will satisfy the listeners ears. I would like to make note of Hatikvah (The Hope) featuring Atom the Immortal, Luz, Kaotic, Metatron and Yahaloma; the song has a very intriguing intro that starts with an informative fact and then gradually follows with a speech that informs the listener of the violence that comes when a substance of value is found. It has a great beat and the chorus has gentle melody that flows great with the emotion brought through the song.

All in all I was highly disappointed in this records inability to consistently stick with its theme of saving Darfur and its lack of production quality leaves you wondering who made these songs to the final cut. I wanted so badly to enjoy this album because of its intention, however its persistent errors and lack of attention to detail made this hard to like.
