L.O.V.E. – Learning One’s Very Essence. Relationships are a part of our life. We all want a significant other. Someone to love us, someone we can trust, someone to accept our flaws and imperfections, and someone to help us grow. This album talks about relationships but from a Christian view, and also speaks about how Christ desires to have a relationship with us all.

J Da’ L.I.G.H.T. brings a unique style of Latin music to the table with this self produced release. While the album doesn’t particularly take aim of general music you hear in the CHH industry, it is by no means something that should be passed up. If you love your girlfriend (hopefully wife to be) and you want some music that expresses that feeling than this album is perfect for you.

The music is a laid back Latin style that you can relax and nod to. All the songs of the release don’t waiver off the title of the album which is “Learning One’s Very Essence”. One big turn off for me though is that some of the songs, well almost ALL of the songs are obviously aimed in the perspective of a single male addressing a single female for relationship. While that is not necessarily a bad thing, it does little for the married man who may decide to listen to it at home only to have his wife interpret the words and then asks “Why are you listening to this? You’re married!”

So while I may recommend this album to a single dude looking for a wife, or a single female looking for a husband. I don’t recommend it for married couples as the appeal is not to that audience… But other than that the music is great, the bass bumps, the style is relaxing, and J Da’ Light has a voice that is rather decent and lays nice on top of the tracks.

So if you’re single… Don’t sleep on this release because it’s a decent album. The songs that were the “Hits” so to speak would be: “I Should’ve Died”, “So Genuine”, and “Show & Tell”
