Young News is on the scene with an album called “Christler Music”. Let’s just get to the point. Let me be blunt on this review.

Young News came out with a good project. This isn’t a great project, but it is good.

It started off with the intro. I’ll be honest. Not the best quality. On the intro and throughout the project, you will find the quality isn’t great. Don’t get me wrong. The quality wasn’t horrible. Many CHH mixtapes released lately have awful quality and the quality is so bad it’s not worth listening to. The quality in this mixtape isn’t the best, but it is good enough. In other words, it doesn’t take away from the music. The intro was pretty decent and that theme “pretty decent” continues throughout the mixtape.

Young News has a nice voice. He has a pretty nice flow, and the lyricism is also decent. That’s the key for this mixtape. It’s decent. It’s a nice starting project. It’s honestly one of the better mixtapes I’ve heard in a long time.

“After All”, “Rhythm of Life”, and “Confusion” were really good songs. They had a really good feel with the piano going and a nice little sad song. Actually they are nice little happy songs. You know how they are…the happy songs always seem to be the saddest songs.

The only problem I had with those songs was the theological content. The song “Confusion” had someone come to Young News, and that someone said how they try hard to “walk down the right path” but they seem to be judged by what they do.

Freeze. Let’s think about this. What should we say? Well, I assume he is trying to comfort Christians here who struggle. Regardless, Young News said, “We all childs of God”. That’s just not biblical. We are all “children that deserve wrath” Ephesians 2:3. God becomes our Father when we place faith in Him. So I was a little disappointed with what was communicated. I don’t want to give too much criticism though. The truth is this is a decent mixtape.

The main problem with this mixtape is nothing was really great. There were many good things about it. There weren’t any mind blowing “bangers” or any songs that you would say “dag, that’s a fantastic song”. Almost every song has a decent vibe. He has a decent flow. He has decent content. He has many things that are pretty good. It’s a good mixtape and a good first project. Now it’s time for Young News to step it up.
