All mixtapes have personal themes & meanings within them, but the hidden jewel of this mixtape is a song entitled “SET UP “.. Its a deep record as Serious testifies about her journey coming from an unorthadoxed family household to the stability within Jesus Christ.
Serious had this to say about her debut mixtape, “This is not your average mixtape,” she says. “I am not trying to sound like anyone or talk about the same things as the next person. What I am attempting; is to bring a fresh voice, sound and give the listener something they need to hear at such a time as this. Women in hip hop are always classified as raunchy, sex selling artists, but not me. I want to let every young woman across the globe to know you are BEAUTIFUL just how GOD made YOU, and as a woman of God you don’t have to settle for anything less than what you know you deserve.
