Ms. Melody Monroe Announces Debut Single “Ladies Room” and New Mixtape

North Carolina native, Ms. Melody Monroe (formerly Mel Monroe) has announced plans for a new release! The 22-year-old rap artist is scheduled to release her debut single Ladies Room on May 1st, 2012 on Itunes and other digital music retailers. The release of the single will serve as a runner up for her new mixtape project Return of the Lady which is set to drop in July of this year. Return of the Lady will be the first full length project Monroe has released in two years She says the purpose of the project is “to bring the lady back to the culture and re-instill values that have been lost concerning women.”

When asked what prompted the name change, Monroe replied “Maturity and growth. I have had to learn how to find my own voice. Now that I’ve found it, I want the world to hear what I have to offer- my most authentic self. “Ms.” puts the responsibility of professionalism and excellence on myself and establishes reciprocation from the listener.”

Ladies Room is an anthem for women all over the world to find their esteem in God and enjoy the life He has destined for them. The upbeat song is produced by North Carolina based Jehovah Jireh Production and features singer/songwriter Lavarrick.
