[news.] Sho Baraka “Talented Xth” Charts In First Week & Tour Information

Feb 4th, 2013 — Lions And Liars Productions recording artist Sho Baraka had an incredible first week in sales last week with his brand new album, “Talented Xth” hitting #2 on iTunes, #1 on Gospel, and #5 Overall Christian Charts according to Billboard Magazine. This is the third album by Sho Baraka and his first on his own label Lions And Liars Productions. The album “Talented Xth” is a concept record with the title inspired by the American Baptist Home Mission Society and was used by civil rights activist, W.E.B. DuBois who described that one in ten black men becoming leaders in their race throughout the world. He believed that black men needed education to reach their full potential instead of the ideals agreed upon in the Atlanta Compromise where blacks would work and submit to white men’s rule in order to receive a basic education. Today this would be more common sense but, back then in the early 1900′s it was extremely forward thinking in America. This is a project is about the black community, struggles, ignorance, racism, marriage, and culture while keeping a strong message of hope in Christ to anyone listening. Sho Baraka is also in the planning stages of a tour to support and get the message out about this album so check out the video.
