Lora Mills Heart – Phase 2 – 4 days Left

Quick update: Lora and Mike have secured a donor that will match all gifts from here to the end of the campaign!  Please take the time to donate to something that will make a huge difference in their lives!

Just in case you don’t have the background…

Lora Mills, the wife of Mike Mills (a co-laborer in the CHH community) needs a heart transplant. Lora was born with a congenital heart defect called Tricuspid Atresia. She has had a total of 5 open-heart surgeries to date to keep her original heart operational to this point. The cardiologists at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida have informed them Lora will need a heart transplant within the next 3 to 4 years if the heart she has now lasts that long.

The impact of them completing this goal would be a tremendous blessing to their family. Lora’s lifelong dream is to conceive a child and become a Registered Nurse, but she has not been able to do these things because of her heart defect. Having a new heart would allow her to have a new life.

In preparing for this fund with Shands Hospital they were told not to set a specific amount of money to raise. With this being said, their family has come to an agreement that any funds not used for the heart transplant will be donated to the pediatric ward of Shands Hospital. They want to be a blessing as much as you are blessing us.

So folks, there are 9 days and they are still short of hitting the goal.  Please donate if you can.
