[drop.] Anthony Rose – Inside Out

Anthony Rose is up next on the DROP Project with the track titled “Inside Out.”

Humanity has chosen to live apart from God. Our disobedience in the presence of a Holy and righteous God has lead to our eternal death sentence. However, God is full of grace and mercy. Listen to how the story of God continues to unfold.

By what standards has man sinned? Seemingly an obvious answer. It’s solely by God’s standards that man has sinned. If someone does something another despises and there’s no law to address it then their action is legal, regardless of the public outcry. We often use our justice system as a mirror image of how God’s justice system works. I’m not entirely convinced they are even close to one another. We categorize sin into levels or seriousness (murder vs. Not keeping the sabbath), but does God?

Is there good in man or are we totally depraved? We are depraved, but we can, through Christ, due some good. Romans 7:1-20 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do–this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does.
