Dallas, Tx native Tyro The Epic is a powerhouse that booms with incredible impact. His flavorful mix of modern rap marries southern charm creating an enticing, can’t-get-enough sound for listeners. Championing the movement, ‘Faith Over Fear’, Tyro’s passion to uplift and encourage others is evident in his music, performances, partnerships, and collaborations. With transparency as his focal point, he aims to share his life and experiences, speaking creatively to the silent issues people go through.

Writing has always been a passion, artistically utilized to help articulate and express Tyro’s experiences. It is now tied with a purpose to ‘Build, Encourage, and Motivate Faith’, a movement taking the world by storm through his music and speaking. He has been performing since 2008 as an independent artist and has been operating a fully independent label ‘Faith Over Fear Music’.

Tyro’s passionate, transparent, and authentic lyrical style has humbly created opportunities for him to grace a variety of venues, from concert halls, to outdoor arenas, from churches to educational institutions and beyond. Some of these venues have included, the George Washington Carver Museum in Austin, Texas for SXSW’, The Potters House of Dallas, Fort Worth and Frisco, Oakcliff Bible Fellowship, the African American Museum of Dallas, House of Blues, R.B.C., and Double Wide to name a few.

In 2016, Tyro began headlining his own concerts, which even included an exclusive listening party to his fan base when Mix it With Recipe I was released. He has performed at various colleges such as Mountain View College, and UNT Dallas and worked with youth groups, young adult ministries, and local organizations. In addition, he has also performed and been in panel discussions at a variety of mega churches, conferences and events in Texas including The Potter’s House, Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, Mega Fest, and the Running Reckless Conference.

Tyro’s first musical project titled “The Call”, represents his embrace of the higher calling he had on his life and conveys the ups and downs through songs like “I.WW.”, “Free” and “First Time”. His second project “Mix It With Faith: Recipe I” reflects an uplifting journey into identity (more specifically, the importance of self-awareness, purpose, and dreams), confidence, courage, and fearlessness with songs like “Keep The Dream Alive”, “I AM Identity” and “I Ain’t Playin”. His third project “DARE” is a motivational, forward-thinking EP that encourages listeners to be intentional, focused and driven in regards to their goals, future, and ultimate destiny. This project includes notable gems such as, “Living Life Like It’s Finished”, “Dare”, and “Legacy”. His 11 singles are easy listens that highlights the ability to recognize in totality the good in adverse circumstances and challenges of walking by faith.
