MIAMI ARTISTS STAND AGAINST ADVERSITY AND “D WADE ON IT”
“Miami Heat player’s name used in a positive song encouraging youth to dream”
On the heels of a career season, MVP candidate Dwyane Wade has motivated a team, and in the process a City. Two Miami artists, Dre Marshall and Cheno Lyfe, have put Wade’s efforts into a song, “D Wade on Em,” hosted by 88.3 FM’s own J-blaze. The song encourages listeners to overcome opposition or obstacles that stop them from reaching their goals and dreams. “Opposition in my face/I’m trying to play defense/I’m bigger than this dude/this don’t make no sense/I ‘D WADE’ on em.” The leading line from the song’s chorus sets the tone for the songs energy and indescribable motivation. “D Wade on Em” is sure to be a fan favorite as the Miami Heat make another run for the NBA title.
