KAS NO FACE-1“These Cats get to prayin when a pistol in they face/but they wanna say I’m lame cause I do it every day”

A quote from once “Dope Boy” slash secular recording artist K.A.S Now a Member of one of the Most talked about Christian Rap labels, “Real Word Records” owned by his Brother “Lil Prophet”.

Born on the murderous streets of South Side Chicago on January 16th 1985 in Cook County, and spending the majority of his life in different areas. From Chicago to Michigan. From Michigan to Atlanta. From Atlanta To Florida. This talented artist has shown what most Christian artists only Rap about. “I hear a lot of rappers saying they care about the hood but rarely are ever there. Even on both sides. Christian and Secular. They talk about this and that but really haven’t even lived that life. I know I’m the work of the lord. At one point you wouldn’t want to stand next to me unless you was bout nothing but that street life. Now I’m trying to lead people in the right direction.”

K.A.S started freestyling at the age of 9. Then battle rapping at the age of 12 at school, and on the block with friends. By the time he hit 18, he had created a nice Buzz in the streets of Tampa and St. Pete Florida. “NO FACE”

THE MIXTAPE HOSTED BY DJWILL

This Mixtape is an address to these things. Putting God above all. Acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.Giving God the credit. Smothering Pridefulness and Arrogance, while boasting humbleness and having No Face. KAS lays it all on the line. The hurts. The pains. The mistakes.

The wrong choices. In turn you will hear the flip side. The light. The answer. The acceptance of failure, and the running to the Cross.

“I just want to see God when I look in the mirror. I’m tired of me. I tried it on my own and it aint work out the way I expected. When people see me I want them to see Christ like attributes. Not my nasty self”

The scriptures say; in Luke 9:23. “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me” It doesn’t say let him praise himself. Nor does it say to follow himself.

In verse 24 it goes on to say; “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it, but whosoever will lose his life for my sake (GOD), the same shall save it” Right there its plain and simple. Put ME or US on hold.

WE should be on the back burner. NOT GOD, NOT CHRIST. Verse 26 says; “for whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed”.
It’s obvious that its not us that needs Glory, but GOD.

A major part of a believer’s walk will be to learn to deny themselves.
Sometimes we get lost behind the flashing lights. The pats on the back. The “good job, that was hot”.
Sometimes we forget why we perform in front of crowds.
Sometimes we forget what inspired us to write those lyrics everyone said was hot.
Sometimes we lose sight of why we do this.
Sometimes we look in the mirror and see what we are, or what we became.
Sometimes we lift us instead of Him (Jesus).
Sometimes we make mistakes.
Sometimes we fall
