The Still Trill Christians take their Internet success to the next level by receiving an award from President Obama

Earlier this year, Christian sensations the Still Trill Christians made their television debut on BET’s “106 and Park.” Now, the minister-based rap crew is set to receive an honor for their single “No Sex” from President Barack Obama.

The group, which is comprised of members JT, Ace, Prince AJ, Erupt, is set to receive the Call of Service award from President Obama for their support for the youth of America. They earned the honor for their single “No Sex” and its inspiring message to teens of abstinence and not succumbing to the pressures of sex.

“I am so excited about these guys, they bring a new vibe to Hip Hop, the church, street, back porch and front porch,” siad the Still Trill Christian’s manager Rick Hendrix.

Still Trill Christians’ four members are all ministers of the In Christ Ministries church group in Humble, Texas, where they also formed the group. The members spoke on their music, saying that they want to take their message from the church to the streets.

“The church is in us but we’re taking it beyond the church,” explained rapper JT. “Jesus wasn’t in the church; he was in the streets spreading the ministry. And that’s what we intend to.”
