Illusent Reveals Latest Album Title

Watercolorz: Artistic Freedom. We were painted in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), but due to the fall of humanity (Genesis 3:6) we cannot properly image Him. Like mirrors, we were created to mirror His glory, however, we have been shattered due to sin. Therefore, we cannot reflect Him properly apart from the Gospel. The title “Watercolorz” serves as a description of believers. We are instruments in the hands of the Artist (our sovereign God) who is painting a beautiful masterpiece of Jesus, and thus bringing all glory unto Himself. The incorrect spelling of the word is a reminder that we are still imperfect (1 John 1:8), and are in need of Jesus everyday. The subtitle “Artistic Freedom” is a reminder that God is the Artist, and is in complete control. He is sovereign, holy, righteous and good. His will is perfect, and He cannot do anything but good. As believers, we have been called to a mission of living Gospel-centered lives, dying to our fleshly desires (Luke 9:23), and living in such a way that brings glory to God in every aspect of our lives (1 Corinthians 10:31). He is infinitely worthy to be praised, and it is my desire that He would be made much of through “Watercolorz: Artistic Freedom”.
