INDIE GOSPEL ARTIST JAI GARNERS ALBUM OF THE YEAR NOMINATION FROM THE GOSPEL MUSIC ASSOCIATION’S 43rd ANNUAL GMA DOVE AWARDS

Outlet Music Group’s Debut Release Continues to Secure Notable Achievements

ATLANTA – March 1, 2012 – Toted by Kirk Franklin as the next BIG thing, Jai’s (pronounced JAY) highly-anticipated, independent album, CULTURE SHOCK, hit stores on 08.02.11, and has since proven its excellence by charting among other greats in the genre, coming in just behind Kirk Franklin and Ricardo Sanchez at #4 on the itunes charts. It has further proven its validity in the industry by charting at #25 on the Gospel Billboard Charts and #45 on the Christian Billboard Charts. In this trailblazing album you’ll find that her spirit is showcased beautifully. The album is eclectically-hip yet never loses its inspirational focus. On February 22, 2012, CULTURE SHOCK was announced as a nominee for Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year for the 43rd GMA Dove Awards which is scheduled to tape in Atlanta, GA April 19, 2012.

Jai, artist and CEO of Outlet Music Group (OMG), partnered with Central South/Infinity Distribution to release this album. She has written at least 95 percent of the lyrical content of CULTURE SHOCK. A featured writer and performer on Stellar Award winning as well as Grammy and Dove nominated projects, she has had the privilege of garnering notable features on her new album including artists such as Lecrae and Canton Jones, Dove Award winning artist KJ52, Mobo Award winning U.K. recording artist Guvna B and more. “I’m completely honored and humbled by this nomination from such a highly respected organization… Seeing that I’m an independent artist and understanding that this is my first project; being recognized on a platform of this level is completely overwhelming!” – Jai

An accomplished writer, a respected artist and the go-to female vocalists for Christian Hip-Hop features, this clearly appears to be the first of a long line of accolades for this skyrocketing new artist.
