[listen.]: Stack City — Polo Flow ft. Wisdom & Dillon Chase (produced by Tone Jonez)

Published on October 31, 2012

The use of a well-recognized symbol within pop culture to express an aspect of Christian faith is a technique that has proven successful for hip-hop artists. In 2008, K-Drama’s “Air Jordon” single exploded onto the scene and was hugely popular with its concept of using Michael Jordan and his brand as an analogy for Christians who use their faith to leap over adversity thrown at them by the enemy.

Stack City’s explosive new single, “Polo Flow”, takes the Polo clothing line symbol of a polo player riding a horse and compares it to the imagery described in Revelation 19:11 of Jesus Christ coming back as a rider on a horse. The creative comparison articulates the meaning of the song by warning its listeners of Christ’s impending return and encourages all to be ready. The energetic anthem features strong production from Tone Jonez along with feature verses from female rapper Wisdom based in Durham, NC and Dillon Chase from the 116 Clique. Polo Flow is a single from Stack City’s upcoming EP entitled “City Limits: The Pre-Album” and is sure to have a lasting impact on its audience.
