The Chicago native leads with an audio excerpt of the legendary rapper Game talking about how he can be a Christian and live in contrast to the very Christ of Christianity, in regards to his next album entitled ‘Jesus Piece’. Game states in his interview “I don’t want to feel like I can’t love God or appreciate Jesus … and have to put down my blunt.” In the same interview he also states that he want to be able to hit a strip club after church and not be ridiculed. While not a diss record, “It Is Written” ultimately addresses the issue and the distorted picture of Christ that Game, Meek Mill, Rick Ross and Kanye West are painting to their listeners.
Skrip is releasing his follow up free album ‘The Und_rscore II’ on January 15th 2013.
