[news.] The Miami Heat are “On Fire” and Rawsrvnt is one step closer to dream

rawsrvnt-onfireAs the popular term goes, the Miami Heat are “on fire” having won 16-straight games. And after recently performing before the Miami Heat/Portland Trail Blazers game at AmericanAirlines Arena, Christian artist Eddy “Rawsrvnt” Puyol is one step closer to his dream of seeing the team adopt his song “On Fire” as their official anthem.

“This night was a great one for many reasons,” Rawsrvnt said. “The Lord saw fit to move me even nearer to a true desire of my heart and it was something I got to celebrate with my family and friends surrounding me.”

The performance (seen in the video at bottom of this story), is believed to be a first for a Christian rapper/singer and this team. It’s also something Rawsrvnt is adding to his mental collection of indicators that someday he may hear “On Fire” being used in an official capacity by one of the NBA’s hottest franchises.

So far, the song has received verbal endorsements from:

  • Dwyane Wade’s mother Jolinda
  • Adam Ramos of the Miami Heat organization

And been featured in team highlight video packages on:

  • CBS Miami
  • The Jax Show featuring Miami Heat courtside reporter Jason Jackson

With a decade of music ministry under his belt, Rawsrvnt, also known as Eddy Puyol from the reality TV Show Donald J. Trump presents The Ultimate Merger, is just as outspoken about his love for Jesus as he is his passion for professional athletics.

During a Monday Night Football game this fall, NFL rookie standout Zach Brown (Tennessee Titans) was spotted wearing an #IMONFIRE wristband inspired by Rawsrvnt’s campaign of the same name. In 2012 Rawsrvnt was invited to perform at a surprise brunch to celebrate the 30th birthday of Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade. And in 2011, NASCAR driver Michael McDowell used “On Fire” as his entrance theme song.
