RAP FEST 2013 – TWENTIETH ANNIVERSARY

For 19 years, Rap Fest has gathered rappers and DJs for an inspirational free concert. Family friendly, Rap Fest 2013 – Twentieth Anniversary will take place on August 10th from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the birthplace of Hip-Hop, the South Bronx. This year’s location is Vidalia Park located at East 180th Street between Daly Avenue and Vyse Avenue. Attendees can fellowship with the artists, receive free giveaways, purchase independent music/clothing and watch break-dancers battle.

Presented by Rap Fest Inc., Sanctuary Fellowship and New Birth New York Church, Rap Fest uses the elements of Hip-Hop such as dance, fashion, art, etc.‚ as evangelistic tools. This year’s performers will include various artists from different cities including; Alcam (STL), Antorcha (NJ), Atonement TV (CO & WA), B . F.R.e.e. (MA), C.H.R.I.S. (NY), Eric E (NY), Firejaws (NJ), Freestyle Fam (NY), Gauge (NY), J Skywalker (NY), Promise (Canada), Red Dott (MD), Richard Dauphin (NY), Selah the Corner (NY), Swinn da Example (NJ), The Pyrobot (NY).

This year’s special guests are; K-Drama (OH) of Cross Movement Records, HeeSun Lee (NY) of In My City Records, Dre Murray (OK), Swoope (OH), Alex Faith (TX) and Christon Gray (OH) of Collision Records (TX) sponsored by God Belongs In My City and Yaves (OH) from Slingshot Music Group. There will be a host of DJs as well which include DJ NuMan (NY), DJ Tranzformed (NY), DJ Tony Tone BKS (NY) and DJ YNot? (NJ).

Rap Fest is sponsored by God Belongs In My City, New Birth New York Church, Grateful Apparel, The Sanctuary Fellowship, WBLS, Triple Threat Ministries International, I AM UNYC, Holy Culture, Calvary Church, 3HP Promotions, Triple J Audio, Adorando Con Flow and Rap Fest’s internet radio program, Rap Fest Radio. Rap Fest Radio conducts live interviews every Monday night at 8 pm (EST) and will broadcast a live video stream of the festival via rapfestradio.com. The Sanctuary Fellowship will also host the Night Before Rap Fest event at 1469 St. Peters Avenue, Bronx, NY 10461, featuring DJ Tranzformed, special guests and open to the public.

On Saturday, August 3rd at 12:00 PM, God Belongs In My City and Rap Fest will host a prayer walk in the community where Rap Fest 2013 – Twentieth Anniversary will be held. All who are interested in participating in this walk should meet us at Vidalia Park at 12:00 Noon on August 3rd.
