First Ever Annual Christian DJ Conference to be Held in Chicago

Published on July 23, 2013

One Accord DJ Alliance (OADA) will host the first annual Christian DJ Conference, August 1-3, 2013, at Lawndale Community Church, approximately 5 miles from downtown, in Chicago, IL. This is the first event of its kind. This three day Conference will bring together a nationwide group of DJs, record labels and performers officially for the first time. Electronic dance music and hip hop genres have created huge radio hits for years, but the Christian versions of the genres have really just begun to get a lot of momentum in the past few years. So much, in fact, that OADA knew it was time for a national Conference to focus on the DJs, producers, vocalist and enthusiasts in the Christian DJ category.

Anyone who is interested in hip hop or electronic dance music (EDM) will find the Conference educational. Exciting events like a The Master’s Mixx DJ Battle and open mic night Thursday evening at 7pm, two artist showcases both Thursday and Friday nights, workshops, street outreach, and networking events will all occur with a higher purpose in mind. A detailed schedule can be found at http://oneaccorddjs.com.

Registration for all 3 days is $80 for an All-Access pass to workshops, power sessions, concerts, showcases, after parties, and awards banquet. Tickets for the two music concerts Thursday and Friday are just $10, and can be purchased at http://oneaccorddjs.com.

Featured Guests are Pastor Phil Jackson, FUDGE (Flavor Radio/OADA), Brother Edwin (OADA), DJ I Rock Jesus (Straight ministry Heat), Trig (HolyCulture.net), DJ Sean Blu (Street Hymns), DJ Mr E (Flavor Nights), and Role Model Record Artist SPOKEN, and special guest artist AMBER ROSE. A DJ Battle Thursday night will feature the semi-final spin-off between DJ Tony Tone (NY) vs. DJ Huski (MA). The stage is set for the DJ T-Daddy (FL) vs. DJ Psalm 51 (FL) spin-off in Miami Aug 16th.

OADA was established in 2008 by a host of Christian DJs and radio personalities from around the United States. The group exists to unite and connect Christian DJs from around the world to reach, teach, and encourage deejays and radio personalities in the faith and the trade of the DJ.
