Re-Mixing It Up: Platinum-selling worship leader Chris Tomlin retains DJ Promote for fall leg of his ultra-successful ‘Burning Lights’ tour

DALLAS, TX – September 17, 2013 – Platinum-selling singer/songwriter Chris Tomlin’s most successful tour to date included the services and stage time of Carlos “DJ Promote” Trevino – a key feature he’ll continue to employ when the 22-city “Burning Lights” worship tour begins its fall leg this October.

The Christian Post reports that Tomlin’s average show attendance increased 53 percent over his last tour in 2011-12, and sold out 25 of his shows in large cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Houston and Chicago with others reaching well above 10,000 tickets sold.

“I strive to create a special night for people from the beginning moments to the very end. I want them to feel engaged with the music, to be inspired, to have fun, and to be lifted up. Having DJ Promote brings an element to the tour that is perfectly in line with the heart of the night,” Chris Tomlin said.

As it was in the spring, Promote’s role as part of the “Burning Lights” tour will be to energize the crowd via a DJ performance prior to Tomlin’s set. Louie Giglio, Pastor of Passion City Church and Passion founder, is also scheduled to be a part of each evening’s gathering.

“It was an honor to be on the spring run and I’m absolutely thrilled to have been invited back out for the fall,” Trevino said. “It’s a fantastic way to share God’s love with others and celebrate, through music, the joy He brings to our lives.”

Trevino promises to make an extended “Burning Lights” mix available to fans via DJPromote.com. The audio is even said to include a special mashup of Christian rapper Lecrae’s hit song “I Know” as well as a remix of Rawsrvnt’s “I Gotta Feeling/Take It All” cover.

Trevino’s turntable talents have been a part of over 11 albums and tours with artists such as LecraePropagandaB.Reith,Tedashii and bands like Shane and ShaneStarfield, and Thousand Foot Krutch.

His profession and passion have led him to DJ for over 500,000 people in almost every state and in places like South Africa, Slovakia, Sweden, The Netherlands, Canada, Panama, El Salvador, and Mexico.

DJ Promote fell in love with music as a young boy in San Angelo, Texas. Growing up without the positive influence of a father (who was in and out of prison) also caused him to seek acceptance and validation outside of his family. Although he found his calling in graffiti art and hip hop culture, Promote was still driven by a desire to use his art and influence to improve the lives of others.
