Rawsrvnt gets married with a ceremony that blends Christianity and hip hop
On Saturday, July 19, 2014 Florida-based recording artist Eddy “Rawsrvnt” Puyol married Chrissy Alvarezin a ceremony that seamlessly blended both the Christian faith and hip hop influences fans will recognize throughout his music.
Rawsrvnt, who once famously competed as a bachelor on Donald J. Trump Presents The Ultimate Mergerdating reality show, courted his now-wife for over three years and gave her an engagement ring over a year ago.
“This is such a monumental day in my life,” Rawsrvnt said. “I’m so blessed that we got to share it with so many members of our friends and family.”
Those friends included Crossover Church Pastor Tommy “Urban D” Kyllonen, who officiated the ceremony, and rapper Dewayne “Pettidee” Petty and graphic artist Edward “Spec” Bayonet who served as groomsmen.
Rawsrvnt’s “Best Man” was his younger brother Bobby Puyol. Chrissy’s “Maid of Honor” was her sister Amanda Alvarez.
For the wedding, Rawsrvnt wore a pair of Nike “What The” LeBron James 11’s while his groomsmen wore retro Air Jordans.
Soul artist Bobby Tinsley sang John Legend’s “All of Me” as the bride walked down the aisle and played Hillsong UNITED’s “Oceans (Where My Feat May Fail)” while the couple shared an intimate Christian communion meal during the ceremony.
And during the reception, Rawsrvnt performed his song “Fallin’ In Love” as well as a new track called “Fingertips” he wrote about his wife that will appear on his next project. Chrissy’s sister Amanda also surprised everyone by taking a page from her new brother-in-law’s playbook and offering her toast in rap form.
Before the couple left for their honeymoon, wedding guests were given a specially made copy of a private#LoveStruck album with some of their favorite Rawsrvnt songs.
Fans and friends are encouraged to sign the couple’s virtual guestbook at TheKnot.com and/or send messages of congratulations and encouragement via social media to @eddypuyol @rawsrvnt and@chrissypuyol.
