Ministry or Messistry???
During this past summer I’ve been on tour around the U.S. God has afforded me many opportunities to be able to promote His gospel to hundreds even thousands of people at a time. I don’t take my ministry lightly because I don’t even deserve fellowship with this holy and perfect God. I fear trying to take a piece of His glory. But during my travels I have seen things that you wouldn’t expect to see in God’s Kingdom. One thing namely homosexuality. It seems to be taking over the church. The black church to be exact (why there is a black church or white church beats me we all serve the same God but that’s another story) everywhere you turn you see a man dressed in some form of women’s attire, speaking like a woman, acting as woman. Now in my Bible no where do I see God have traits or characteristics like a woman. My Bible says homosexuality is an abomination (Leviticus 18:22 & 20:13.) So why is it that we as Christian, followers of Jesus Christ, believers condone homosexuality and join our ministries together with theirs?? I mean God clearly states how He feels about it. So why is it that we over look what is directly in our faces. I’m sure you wouldn’t join together with a rapist knowingly and “do God’s work” so why do you compromise and except what God hates in order to get what it is you want? If God gave you the gift He will make a way for your ministry to do what it needs to do. But don’t cut corners and not truly exalt the Jesus you are singing, rapping, or preaching about. Some may say that I’m being harsh or even judgmental but guess what THE GOSPEL IS OFFENSIVE. Somebody else may say God loves us all, which is true but He doesn’t love the sin. Now take what the redeemed of Jesus should look like: A person who has accepted Jesus, repented of their sin, and truly strives to please the Lord in all their ways. So the question is has the person who is homosexual truly accepted Jesus? And if so have they repented of their sin so that they can truly strive to please Jesus in all their ways? The difference between the redeemed of Jesus and the homosexual (that is still living in that lifestyle) is that one has a repentive heart and the other doesn’t. You can’t be openly gay, lesbian, bi whatever you want to call it and truly be serving the God of the Bible. The God who raised a dead man back to life, the God who fed 5,000 people from 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish, the God who healed the man with the legion are you insinuating that He can’t heal you of one? Obviously we do not serve the same God. Now my concern is also for my generation and the generations after us because the homosexual in the church is becoming younger and younger. It’s a serious thing when you can’t tell a 16 year old boy from a girl. I say all of that to say this if you are going to use the title Christian or believer before the word singer, rapper, dancer ect. live it first! Jeremiah 23:22 says “But if they had stood in My council, they would have proclaimed My words to My people and would have turned them from their evil ways and from their evil deeds” and Jude 1:14-15 says “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” God doesn’t change He hated homosexuality in the Old Testament and He hates it in the New Testament.
So to all God’s remnant keep on showing Him off baby! And to everybody else it’s not too late God can use anybody! I’m a perfect example I was a modern day Saul now I share Jesus with the world!
A concert is just a concert if no lives are changed, no hearts are transformed, and no eyes are opened. So get the mess out of your ministry exalt Jesus and watch Him change lives!
